Wine and Beer opener in one tool – the Monopol Westmark Germany Steel two-prong cork puller

Many years ago, when I was living in Boston, I would go to this shop that sold both fly-fishing things and knives. I basically went there to by trout flies. One day I had a few minutes to browse. So, I took a few minutes to look in the rest of the shop.

After a few minutes I came upon the tool that opens wine bottles (with a cork of course) and also can open bottle caps. I was interested and ask one of the shop sellers to explain how it worked?

The tool has two prongs on either side of the handle. Basically, you insert the two prongs on each side of the cork and push it down and the pull out the cork. It is that simple! I have used this tool to open wine for 25 years (the first one lasted 15 years and 2nd 10+).

So if you want to have less stuff and a functional tool to open wine and beer, consider the Monopol Westmark Germany Steel two-prong cork puller

And not expensive at all!
