The Art of Things – Making your remote workspace better

First came the digital nomads who pursued the less is more for working. A few souls managed to find online work they could do. It was a cool thing, and everyone wanted to do it. More than a few people tried to talk their day job into letting them work from some international location. But the corporate world was not up for that. Most barely felt comfortable with 1-2 remote work from home days, let alone Paris.

Then came the Global pandemic. That sure changed things. Work quickly shifted to work from home.

I have been working from my home office (for my day job) for 14+ months now. I am lucky enough to have a separate room to be my home office and workspace. But clutter always seemed to be a battle for me. My day job and personal workspace activities filled my desk space.

The Art of Things is about tools and things that help use in our daily lives and help us to be productive. Things that make doing that simple, is a benefit. It is never about buying stuff. The thing has to be and do something helpful for you.

There are different options for monitor stands, a wood one was appealing to me as well, but my desk is a wood top with a metal frame, so the metal stand (it does come with plastic leg sadly), feels more balanced.
