Comfort and Corruption, or at least Complacency

It is easy to slip into it, that frame of mine where we are living day to day and have our plans, and our comfort levels. A number of things comes with that, overconfidence, a familiarity that feels safe, etc. But the worse is a complacency that is a form of personal corruption. Be that from a sense we have it all together and know what is what and therefore relax. We stop being objective and start to think been there done that, nothing new to decide or see,

....but, then what the hell just happen?

We miss something. Something that given our familiar comfort zone was not supposed to happen. The luck or good see it for what it was, a mistake of judgement and lack of objectivity. However, the rest go to blame and denial, we come up with reasons that we think was outside us so fault lies lease where.

Then over time we keep adjusting and it becomes more familiar, more comfortable, and then safe.

That is when comfort become corruption. And dienal is more than a river.
